With lot of WWE’s star power on the verge of coming back and the new blood infusing WWE with an energy of its own, the brand is looking more promising than it been for the past few years. Speculations have been abound with WWE fans about the possible return of major stars like John Cena.
One such new rumour will rejoice the fans of WWE. Cagesideseats reports that WWE’s shining light of 2015, Seth Rollins might return for SummarSlam. According to the sources, Seth Rollins is now immersed in his rehab and will soon return to the ring before SummerSlam.
Rollins is said to be booked for a featured match at SummerSlam, which means that he will be returning at least few weeks before SummerSlam. Or else WWE might book a returning Seth Rollins to be a surprise participant in a featured match. Rollins though is not idle meanwhile. He will return to the ring once his role in a film for the WWE Studios is completed.
Seth Rollins injured his knee when he tore his ACL and MCL due to a bad landing in a Live Event against Kane right before Survivor Series. This caused him to vacate his WWE World Heavyweight Championship and it set back WWE’s plans to promote Roman Reigns. One can only wonder how fans might have reacted to Reigns if Seth was still around the corner when he captured the championship.
Though Seth Rollins was a big heel on the roster when he vacated the WWE Championship, now the changed landscape of WWE may help him to come back as a face to reclaim the title he never lost. It will be interesting to see how WWE plans to use Seth in the near future.
