TNA News: TNA suffers yet another setback

How long can Dixie Carter keep a brave face?

Just days after TNA star Christy Hemme announced that she was quitting the promotion, her colleague Velvet Sky has followed her footsteps by declaring her departure from the franchise after a nearly decade-long career that produced its fair share of trophies – reports wrestlinginc.com.

The decision not to renew Sky’s contract was a mutual one, and the wrestler made her last ever appearance with the franchise today, which will be broadcast in the States on an upcoming episode of IMPACT WRESTLING on Tuesday night at 9/8c on Pop.

Velvet Sky has been a part of TNA since 2007

"This has been my home for 10 years and, no matter what happens in my future, I will never forget where I've come from or the people who have helped me get where I am," Sky was quoted as saying "Thank you to everyone at TNA – from talent to production to crew -who has helped me do what I love."

The 34-year-old, whose real name is Jamie Lynn Szantyr, joined TNA back in 2007, and a successful career that produced two TNA Women’s Knockout Championships and one TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship followed.

Sky’s future plans away from TNA remain unknown as of now.
