Top 5 Memes of the week (12th September to 18th September)

Prepare for a dose of laughter!

Last week was indeed action-packed with back to back events namely WWE Backlash, RAW, Smackdown Live, NXT and Cruiserweight Classic. To the delight of the WWE Universe, each of the mentioned shows were incredible to watch.

As a result, the social medias have been buzzing with fans' reactions and it helped us to collect five of the best fan-made memes of the week.

5: More Addition to the list of kids

Heath Slater and Rhyno defeated the Usos and were crowned the first ever WWE Smackdown Tag team Champions at Backlash. It was a feel-good moment to witness Slater regain prominence in the main roster after years of lower-card status.

He was undrafted in the recent WWE Draft and it helped to kick-off the “Sign Heath Slater!” movement. The storyline focused on the fact that Heath needed a job to provide the daily necessities to his kids and wife. When he ultimately earned the contract at Backlash, the WWE Universe joined in the celebration.

4:The real Gift of Jericho

AJ Styles and Kevin Owens now possess the two top Championship of the company. Interestingly, both the WWE World Champion and WWE Universal Champion have been associated with Chris Jericho, this year. Maybe, it is the gift of teaming with the former World Champion that propelled them to the top spot fo their respective brands.

Does this indicate that the gift of Jericho will help James Ellsworth to be on the top of WWE food chain?

3: Poor Dixie

Last week, AJ Styles became the WWE World Champion, whereas T.J. Perkins was crowned the Cruiserweight Champion. The TNA audience are familiar with them, as both Styles and Perkins were once part of the TNA roster.

Their release from the company eventually provided them with the opportunity to work for WWE. Witnessing them as the Champions of WWE, proves that their release was actually a loss for TNA.

2: The No-Chin Man is back!!

Just one match against Braun Strowman made James Ellsworth one of the most popular ‘jobbers’ in recent memory. In fact, the craze over Ellsworth reached such an extent that fans wanted him to be back in WWE.

Their demands were answered when Daniel Bryan announced James as the guest tag team partner of AJ Styles. The pop that Ellsworth received upon his return to WWE, even surpassed the chants during the return of the 15time World Champion, John Cena!

1: A 16th Championship reign?

Last week on Smackdown Live, John Cena interrupted the Championship celebration of AJ Styles. He made it clear that his sight is set on the top prize of the blue brand and he aims to become a 16-time World Champion.

If Cena wins the gold at No Mercy, then he will tie Ric Flair’s record of most World Championship reigns in the company. Although records are meant to be broken, it must be hard for the WWE Hall of Famer to witness someone surpass his legacy.
