AEW produced its Fyter Fest TV special last week. The four-hour event featured several top attractions from the company, including Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay, Mercedes Mone, and others. The Jacksonville-based promotion is set to recreate the experience this week with another four-hour spectacle, Summer Blockbuster.

The TV special will take place on Wednesday, June 11, at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. Moreover, the occasion has been made more monumental with the announcement of some captivating matches and segments for the show. Summer Blockbuster will feature Will Ospreay vs. Swerve Strickland, Thekla vs. Queen Aminata, Kyle Fletcher and Anthony Bowens squaring off in singles action, and more.

Moreover, it will also feature the return of Mistico, Timeless Toni Storm in action, and the contract signing segment between Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada for their blockbuster match at AEW All In: Texas.

With a promising lineup, here are three things Tony Khan must do to make it must-see.

#3. Book MJF vs. Mistico for AEW All In

AEW announced last week that the international sensation from Mexico, Mistico, will be making his return to the company at Summer Blockbuster. The former WWE Superstar is also expected to be in action, although his opponent has not been revealed yet.

Hurt Syndicate member MJF called him out at the Fyter Fest show and told him that he would keep a close watch on his match. This could lead to The Salt of the Earth being booked for a showdown against Mistico at the company's upcoming premier event, AEW All In: Texas, taking place at Global Life Field on July 12, in Arlington, Texas.

#2. Have Jon Moxley raise the stakes for 'Hangman' Adam Page

Hangman Adam Page will have one of the biggest matches of his wrestling career at All In. Following his victory over Will Ospreay at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view in the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, Page is now set to battle Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship.

With the Purveyor of Violence being the top guy of All Elite Wrestling, he could pull some strings and add a major stipulation. This could see Tony Khan raising the stakes for The Cowboy. The All Elite Wrestling President could announce that if Hangman loses to Moxley, he will never be able to challenge him again for the richest prize in the promotion.

#1. Book Will Ospreay vs. Swerve Strickland III in a stipulation match

One of the marquee matches scheduled for AEW's Summer Blockbuster is the showdown between friends-turned-heated-foes, Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland. Realizing the calibre and in-ring acumen of both competitors, there is no doubt that they will produce a blockbuster encounter.

The last time they competed against each other was at the 2024 Forbidden Door event, where Strickland retained his World Championship over Ospreay. This match could see The Aerial Assassin pick up the win. With the record tied at 1-1, a rubber match with a stipulation in place could be set up for All In: Texas.
