#4. Dragon Lee opens the Forbidden Door

Dragon Lee is one of the hottest cruiserweight wrestlers currently active today. By the time he left CMLL in 2019, he was practically the face of the entire company. NJPW seems to have similarly recognized his incredible in-ring ability, with Lee appearing as a key player in NJPW's junior heavyweight title picture.

The amazing thing about Lee is that despite having achieved so much, he is still very young. At only 26, he has won numerous awards and championships around the globe. His NJPW matches with Hiromu Takahashi and Will Ospreay are practically the stuff of legend.

Given his age and NJPW's partnership with AEW, it's almost certain that Dragon Lee will one day step through the Forbidden Door. We just hope that day is sooner rather than later.

#3. Rush brings "Tranquillo" to AEW

The brother of Dragon Lee and a veteran luchador performer, Rush may be one of the most underrated wrestlers working today. Nicknamed "Mr. CMLL" due to his prominent role in the company, Rush managed to go from the generic, zero-personality face wrestler to the more arrogant "Tranquillo" fans know as him today.

As part of this new gimmick, Rush appears dismissive of all his opponents, as though they are not worthy of his time. Eventually, this would become the main gimmick associated with Los Ingobernables and its later, popular off-shoot, Los Ingobernables de Japón.

Rush is unique on this list as he is one of the best heel luchadors working today. Furthermore, while he can still be described as a fast-moving high-flyer, he also tends to do devastating maneveurs to decimate his opponents. Seeing such a hard-edged style of luchador wrestling as Rush's in All Elite Wrestling, complete with his excellent mic skills, would be something fans would no doubt love to see.
