Penta Jr. Professional Wrestling Career
Early career
Pentagón Jr. was born on February 26, 1985, in Ecatepec, State of Mexico, Mexico. He made his professional wrestling debut as Zairus in 2007 after training under the mentorship of Skayde (Jorge Rivera Soriano). His first verified match took place on April 9, 2008, where he and his tag team partner, Black Star, lost to Máscara Oriental and El Niño de Fuego. He won his first title, the WCW Intercontinental Championship, on July 26, 2009, in a Luchas de Apuestas (bet match), where he also put his mask on the line.
Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (2010–2017)
Pentagón Jr. made his successful debut in tag team action alongside Pesadilla against Konami and Máscara Oriental in a dark match for AAA Worldwide on September 9, 2010. The next year, he started wrestling for AAA regularly under the name "Dark Dragon" while also performing on the independent circuit as Zaius. In December 2012, he stopped using the name "Dark Dragon" and began wrestling as Pentagón Jr. Soon, he introduced the phrase "Cero Miedo" (Zero Fear) to represent fearlessness against the curse.
At the 2013 Héroes Inmortales VII, Pentagon Jr. fell to El Hijo del Fantasma in the Copa Antonio Peña tournament. At Rey de Reyes 2014, he escaped the Dome of Death match safely with his mask. In August at Triplemanía XXII , he missed out in a unification match for the AAA Fusión and Cruiserweight titles to El Hijo del Fantasma. On November 17, he joined the Los Perros del Mal stable and won the AAA World Tag Team Championship with his stablemate, Joe Líder, in a three-way match against Los Güeros del Cielo (Angélico and Jack Evans) and Myzteziz and Fénix. However, he lost the title to Angélico and Jack Evans at Héroes Inmortales IX in 2015. He later won the 2016 Rey de Reyes tournament and earned an opportunity to challenge Psycho Clown for the AAA Latin American Championship, which he won. He lost the title to Johnny Mundo at the 2016 Triplemanía XXIV and announced his departure from the promotion on January 21, 2017.
Lucha Underground (2014–2018)
In August 2014, Pentagón was announced as one of five AAA wrestlers for Lucha Underground and debuted on November 12 in a three-way match, losing to his brother, Fénix, which sparked a heated rivalry. On April 1, 2015, Pentagón, Sexy Star, and Super Fly lost to Big Ryck, The Mack, and Killshot in the first-ever Lucha Underground Trios Championship tournament. Afterward, he attacked and injured Super Fly. He lost to Sexy Star but later defeated her in a submission match. Pentagón then began targeting Vampiro multiple times, leading to a brutal Cero Miedo match at Ultima Lucha in August, where he emerged victorious. As their match ended, he broke Vampiro’s arm, only for Vampiro to reveal that he had been Pentagón’s master all along.
On January 27, Pentagón attacked Mil Muertes after his title defense and broke his arm. He later challenged Matanza Cueto for the Lucha Underground Championship in 2015 but lost. On January 31, 2016, at Ultima Lucha Dos, he became Pentagón Dark after training with Vampiro but failed to win the title and turned on him. On June 25 at Ultima Lucha Tres, he won the vacant Gift of the Gods Championship in a ladder match and cashed in the next day, defeating Prince Puma in a retirement match to win the Lucha Underground Championship. On June 13, 2018, he retained the title by winning the Aztec Warfare match.
Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (2015–2019)
Pentagón Jr. made his Pro Wrestling Guerrilla debut in 2015 as part of the Battle of Los Angeles tournament. On March 18, 2017, he and Rey Fénix faced The Young Bucks, Matt Sydal, and Ricochet in a three-way match, with the PWG World Tag Team Championship on the line. Their victory that night kicked off a 216-day reign, during which they defended the titles three times. The run came to an end on October 20, when Jeff Cobb and Matt Riddle, known as The Chosen Bros, dethroned them.
Independent Circuits (2015–2019)
Pentagón Jr. competed for AAA Worldwide and Lucha Underground while also working for various indie promotions across Latin America and the United States. On October 8, 2016, he defeated Sami Callihan to capture the AAW Heavyweight Championship in AAW: Professional Wrestling Redefined. However, Callihan soon regained the title. On January 21, 2017, at a The Crash Lucha Libre event, Pentagón Jr. declared his exit from AAA and rebranded himself as "Penta el 0M."
Major League Wrestling (2018–2019)
Penta 0M made his Major League Wrestling (MLW) debut on January 11, 2018, defeating his brother Rey Fénix in a singles match. The following month, the two joined forces as Los Lucha Bros and captured the MLW World Tag Team Championship. In early November, they successfully defended their titles against L.A. Park and El Hijo de L.A. Park. Their reign ended in February 2019 when they lost the belts to The Hart Foundation’s Teddy Hart and Davey Boy Smith Jr.
Impact Wrestling (2018–2019)
Pentagón Jr. debuted in Impact Wrestling at WrestleCon 2018, winning a three-way match. He replaced Alberto El Patron at Redemption and won the Impact World Championship. He defended it against Eli Drake and Jimmy Jacobs before losing it to Austin Aries at. Thereafter, his feud with Sami Callihan escalated to a Mask vs. Hair match at Slammiversary, where he emerged victorious. At Bound for Glory 2018, he, Brian Cage, and Fénix lost to Ohio Versus Everything in a oVe Rules match. In 2019, he and Fénix won the Impact World Tag Team Championship from LAX but lost it back at Rebellion in a Full Metal Mayhem match.
Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (2018–2019, 2024)
Penta El 0M first appeared at CMLL's Super Viernes on June 29, 2018, attacking Carístico to intensify their rivalry, which had started earlier that year on the Mexican independent circuit. He made his official CMLL debut on July 27, 2024, at Super Viernes, wrestling under the name "Lucha Brother" alongside his Death Triangle partners, Pac and Fénix (as "King"). They faced Místico, Máscara Dorada, and Volador Jr. in a six-man tag match but lost by disqualification.
All Elite Wrestling & Ring of Honor (2019–2024)
Pentagón and Fénix made their AEW debut at Double or Nothing 2019, challenging The Young Bucks for the AAA World Tag Team Championship but coming up short. They later captured the titles at AAA Verano de Escándalo. On March 4, 2020, they aligned with Pac to form Death Triangle. At AEW All Out 2021, they defeated The Young Bucks in a steel cage match to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship. Their AAA World Tag Team titles reign ended on on October 16, 2021, when they lost to FTR. Meanwhile, they also dropped the AEW World Tag Team Championship to Jurassic Express in January 1, 2022.
On February 23, 2022, Pentagón rebranded as "Penta Oscuro" and, alongside Pac, defeated the Kings of the Black Throne. At Revolution's buy-in show, they fell to the House of Black. Upon that year, on September 7, they won the AEW World Trios Championship with Pac, beating Best Friends. They successfully defended against The Dark Order before entering a best-of-seven series against The Elite, ultimately losing the titles in a ladder match on January 11, 2023.
The Lucha Brothers eventually began wrestling in ROH and won the ROH World Tag Team Championship at Supercard of Honor. They lost the titles to Aussie Open at Death Before Dishonor 2023. Soon, Pentagón competed at All In by teaming with Best Friends and Eddie Kingston to defeat Blackpool Combat Club, Santana, and Ortiz. In May 2024, Death Triangle failed to win the AEW World Trios Championships against the Bang Bang Gang at Double or Nothing. Pentagón's last AEW match was on July 17, defeating Private Party on Rampage. His contract expired on November 30, ending his time with AEW.
WWE (2025–present)
At WWE’s Raw premiere on Netflix on January 6, 2025, a teaser video hinted at Pentagón’s arrival. A week later, he officially debuted as Penta, defeating Chad Gable on Raw. On February 1, he made his first Royal Rumble appearance, entering at No. 2 and lasting the longest in the match. He eliminated Ludwig Kaiser before Finn Bálor sent him over the top rope. In the weeks that followed, Penta built momentum with wins over Kaiser and Pete Dunne in singles matches before defeating both in a triple threat match on Raw.
