#4 Powerhouse Hobbs
Will Hobbs was a relative unknown before getting signed to AEW, although he has quickly and admirably embraced the role of being a regular feature in a major promotion. Billed as Powerhouse Will Hobbs, he is a member of Team Taz and acts as the faction's main powerhouse since the unceremonial defenestration of Brian Cage.
While he is yet to taste championship gold in WWE, his journey from a glorified enhancement talent on AEW Dark to being embroiled in a feud with CM Punk has certainly been helped by his impressive physique. He wrestles in powerhouse style as well, with an arsenal of offense displaying his immense strength.
#3 MJF's closest AEW ally - Wardlow
In AEW, Wardlow acts as a member of the Horsemenesque faction The Pinnacle, and the personal bodyguard of prime villain MJF. Like Will Hobbs, he was hardly popular when AEW scooped him up and offered him a contract, and he has evolved into a hated heel, although MJF's treatment of him elicits some sympathy from the audience.
Influenced by Batista, Wardlow cuts an imposing figure, his stature heightened by his frequent attacks on some of the biggest names in AEW, including the likes of Chris Jericho. The MJF-Wardlow relationship reminds many fans of the partnership between Shawn Michaels and Diesel. Wardlow, too, may break out and become a solo superstar in the future.
