#4 Dean Malenko – AEW Dynamite (May 28 and June 18)
Dean Malenko signed with AEW to primarily work in a backstage role. However, as a wrestling legend, he has made some appearances in a non-wrestling role as well. One such appearance was when MJF decided to attack Dean Malenko off-camera and lure The Inner Circle out to the stadium on an episode of AEW ahead of their Stadium Stampede Match during their celebration segment. On their way to the arena, the Pinnacle ambushed them,
However, that was not the only time Malenko suffered an attack in AEW. Jake Hager faced Wardlow in an MMA Cage Fight and defeated him. However, after the match, MJF and Shawn Spears attacked Chris Jericho and Hager. Dean Malenko stopped MJF from breaking Jericho’s arm, but MJF punched the legend and retreated.
#3 Arn Anderson – AEW Dynamite (March 31)
On the March 31st episode of AEW Dynamite, QT Marshall faced Cody Rhodes in an Exhibition Match. There had been some conflict within the Nightmare Family and Cody had been hoping a match would help solve it. The referee of the match was none other than Arn Anderson himself.
However, at a point in the match, QT Marshall suddenly hit Arn Anderson with a cheap shot before walking away from the ring. The Nightmare Family entered the ring to check on him, but things changed suddenly. Nick Comoroto, Aaron Solow, and Anthony Ogogo suddenly started to attack the rest of the Nightmare Family, taking them out.
The betrayal saw Dustin Rhodes hit with a piledriver on the steel steps and Cody Rhodes knocked out with a body shot, but thankfully Brandi Rhodes saved him from having his head smashed in with a steel chair.
