AEW Dynamite featured a lot of plot developments this week.
AEW Dynamite featured a lot of plot developments this week.

From The Inner Circle's Vegas trip to Team Taz recruiting a new member, this week's edition of AEW Dynamite featured many contrasting moments.

Dynamite consisted of some important plot developments not just in the men's division but also in the women's division. Storylines related to factions were particularly interesting at the same time, and it looks like AEW has already started building towards it's December 2nd show, appropriately titled "Winter is Coming."

How did NXT fare against AEW in terms of quality this week? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

Here are the five biggest news stories from this week's episode of AEW Dynamite (November 18, 2020).

#5: The Lucha Brothers and PAC's Death Triangle faction was re-established on AEW Dynamite

PAC returned to AEW Dynamite last week, immediately targeting Eddie Kingston and his attempts to break-up PAC's two formidable allies, namely Fenix and Penta El Zero M.

This week, PAC faced a member of Kingston's pro wrestling family, The Blade. The Bunny and The Butcher tried to get involved in hopes of preventing PAC from winning his comeback match. Towards the end, PAC hit the Black Arrow and locked in the Brutalizer on Blade for the win.

After the match, PAC called out Eddie Kingston on the microphone, but he was immediately jumped by The Butcher in the ring. Fenix tried to help PAC, but the numbers were still stacked against both of them.

This is where Penta arrived to even the odds. Penta teased that he would hit PAC and his own tag team partner, Fenix, with a steel chair for a while. But as it turned out, Penta stuck by PAC and Fenix to confirm that the Death Triangle faction is back.

PAC and Rey Fenix vs. Butcher and The Blade has been announced for next week's AEW Dynamite. The endgame for this storyline seems like an eventual one-on-one clash between PAC and Eddie Kingston.

#4: AEW's Inner Circle partied in Vegas with special appearances from former WCW and WWE stars like Konnan and Hornswoggle

Chris Jericho is back with another one of his silly yet entertaining pursuits in AEW. This time, The Inner Circle headed to Las Vegas along with two of their latest recruits, MJF and Wardlow.

The inner-conflict between several Inner Circle members became apparent throughout the course of this two-part segment. It was a great moment for hardcore fans to see WCW legend Konnan reunite with former LAX members Santana and Ortiz.

As time went on, everyone in The Inner Circle got a little too hammered for their own good. Somehow, an Elvis impersonator became a part of the AEW faction and woke up in the same bed as Jericho after a night of partying.

MJF woke up in a bathtub, while Sammy Guevara woke up in a fountain. The oddball of the group, Ortiz, was working out instead of feeling a terrible hangover. Santana fed chickens for some reason.

But The Inner Circle had a bigger problem in the form of a 34-year-old Hornswoggle, acting like a newborn.

Sure, these skits may have been a bit too silly for a certain section of AEW fans. But from a storytelling standpoint, most of MJF and Chris Jericho's storyline elements have been well-established thanks to these types of segments.

#3: Jon Moxley casually announced that his wife, Renee Paquette, is pregnant; Moxley got ambushed before a contract signing segment on AEW Dynamite

It was a surreal moment from this week's AEW Dynamite when Jon Moxley briefly mentioned that he had a "pregnant wife at home" in a promo ahead of his contract signing segment with Kenny Omega.

Since then, several personalities from WWE and the pro wrestling world have congratulated the couple on this wonderful news.

Later in the night, Kenny Omega arrived at the contract signing segment in grand fashion. But Moxley didn't come out when his theme music played throughout the arena. The AEW World Champion was being checked by the medical staff backstage after what seemed like an ambush.

Omega signed the contract regardless of what happened to Moxley. It is possible that Omega was the one who laid out Moxley, without the presence of any cameras.

Omega keeps inching closer towards a full-blown heel turn, and the "mysterious" ambush on the AEW World Champion added more weight behind this storyline, even if the contract signing segment suffered a little as a result.

#2: Multiple women's feuds were established as Thunder Rosa faced Serena Deeb for the AEW Women's Championship in an excellent match

Serena Deeb and Thunder Rosa have excellent in-ring chemistry with each other in and out of AEW, and they might have put on one of the best female-centric matches in AEW history this week.

As Rosa sought to win back her NWA Women's title from the current champion, Serena Deeb, it became clear that Deeb had stepped up in a massive way as the champion compared to the time when she wasn't a titleholder.

Serena Deeb ended up retaining in the end, but Thunder Rosa looked strong because she managed to put up a close fight even after Dr. Britt Baker's massive interference.

Dr. Britt Baker's role in this match was necessary to establish a future feud for Rosa after this encounter. This seems like an exciting direction for both AEW stars, and the live audience was excited for Baker and Rosa's brawl after the match was over.

Meanwhile, Jade Cargill attacked Brandi Rhodes backstage, which is also an interesting feud after Cargill set up a potential match between NBA Legend Shaquille O'Neal and former TNT Champion Cody Rhodes in the future.

Dark Order's Anna Jay has had an impressive run in AEW recently, and she is scheduled to take on the AEW Women's Champion, Hikaru Shida, next week.

Things have suddenly become a lot more interesting in the AEW Women's Division.

#1: The AEW TNT Champion, Darby Allin, got pinned by Brian Cage in a tag team main event; Will Hobbs turned heel and joined Team Taz

Before making his entrance for the main event, Darby Allin was featured in another one of his bizarre skits where he was willingly lit on fire. Allin is clearly one of the best creative minds in AEW at the moment.

The TNT Champion teamed up with Cody Rhodes to take on Brian Cage and Ricky Starks of Team Taz. After a back-and-forth contest, Brian Cage hit Darby Allin with a Drill Claw from the top rope, which guaranteed Team Taz a victory on this week's AEW Dynamite.

Cage and Starks beat up Cody and Darby even after the match was over. Will Hobbs arrived for what seemed like Cody and Darby's rescue, but in a twist, he turned on the good guys and swore allegiance to Team Taz by attacking Cody with the FTW title belt.

The odds are stacked against Darby Allin, now more than ever before. Cage and Hobbs are true giants on the same side, so one has to wonder if Shaq could potentially team up with Cody and Darby despite the indication that Shaq and Cody might clash against each other soon.

Either way, it will be interesting to find out what's in store for this storyline as far as AEW's "Winter is Coming" show in early December is concerned.
