Eddie Kingston confronted backstage on AEW Dynamite
Eddie Kingston was backstage on AEW Dynamite with Tony Schiavone. Tony wanted to ask Kingston about his match against CM Punk before they were interrupted by 2.0 and Daniel Garcia.
2.0 said that Garcia had lasted longer in the ring against Punk than Kingston. Eddie and Garcia almost came to blows before Daniel and 2.0 left the scene.
Orange Cassidy and Tomohiro Ishii vs The Butcher and The Blade on AEW Dynamite
Ishii and The Blade started the match.The Blade bounced off the ropes and charged at Ishii, who took him down with a shoulder tackle.
Tomohiro tagged Orange Cassidy in. Ishii took down The Blade again and Cassidy followed up with a lateral press.
The Butcher tagged in and was all over Orange Cassidy. He continued to dominate Cassidy until Blade tagged back in.
Butcher and Blade went for a double team move but Orange Cassidy took both men down and tagged in Ishii.
The Japanese hit some chops in the corner to The Blade and followed it up with a backdrop. The Butcher tagged in and hit Ishii with repeated chops in the corner. They had little to no effect on Tomohiro, who hit back with a right hand of his own and followed it up with a superplex.
Orange Cassidy tagged back in, hitting The Blade with a DDT for a nearfall. The Butcher and The Blade hit back with a double-team powerbomb but Ishii broke up the count.
He then dragged Orange Cassidy over to his corner and tagged back in. Ishii hit repeated strikes to The Butcher. Matt Hardy had the referee distracted and The Bunny passed the brass knuckles to The Blade.
Rocky Romero pulled The Blade out to ringside where Matt Hardy came after him. Orange Cassidy took out both Hardy and The Blade with a dive off the top rope.
Ishii then hit The Blade with a Lariat and hit the Brainbuster to pick up the win.
Result: Tomohiro Ishii and Orange Cassidy def. The Butcher and The Blade
