AEW Executive VP Cody Rhodes makes major announcement

The former AEW TNT Champion came to the ring to talk about his pride as an American, and why despite our highs and lows, it's a wonderful thing to be a part of this great nation. Anthony Ogogo has gone after the United States, claiming that the country is divided.

Cody Rhodes stated that we may be angry and divided in many ways, but at the end of the day, we are truly united in wanting the best for anyone looking to live the American dream. Soon enough, Cody and Brandi will be parents to a beautiful baby girl, and Cody wanted her to know that he never backed down from anyone or let anyone insult their home.

At Double or Nothing, Cody will be fighting Anthony Ogogo, but not as the American Nightmare. There's a name that only he and Dustin Rhodes have the right to, and he'll fight with it on that night. At Double or Nothing, Ogogo will face 'The American Dream' Cody Rhodes.

AEW Tag Team Title Match: SCU (Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian) vs The Young Bucks (c) w/The Good Brothers and Don Callis

Frankie Kazarian kicked off the night with Nick Jackson. Kazarian battered Nick with a series of strikes, ending with a spinning back kick/clothesline combination. Christopher Daniels tagged in, and SCU took out both of the AEW Tag Team Champions with some impressive teamwork.

A slingshot elbow drop from Daniels and a slingshot leg drop from Kaz hit Nick for a two-count. A rear clothesline/leaping knee drop combo followed. However, Nick finally got to his brother after Matt sent Daniels over the ropes. A wrecking ball dropkick sent Daniels into the barricade.

During an extended beatdown during the break, Daniels finally escaped to his corner to tag in Kaz. Nick Jackson was hit with a springboard leg drop for a two-count, and SCU followed up with a neck breaker/powerbomb combination.

Matt ran in only to be hit with SCU's Celebrity Rehab. Matt managed to save Nick from a BME Driver but was dropped with a rope hanging leg drop that smashed his face off the mat.

Nick Jackson responded with a series of kicks that left Kazarian down in the mat, allowing him to superkick Daniels' dome into the ring post and busting him wide open on AEW Dynamite.

The inaugural AEW Tag Champions were in trouble, and it was all on Kazarian to save the team. Daniels was just too injured to compete at that point.

The Young Bucks hit the turnbuckle bomb/enzuigiri combination, but Kaz countered the More Bang for your Buck, pinning both men with a northern lights suplex for a near fall.

Kaz rolled Nick up for what would have been the win, but IMPACT Wrestling's Doc Gallows distracted the ref. Kaz stared daggers into the eyes of Doc as he hit Nick with the Styles Clash. The Bucks managed to turn things around, but a pinfall was broken up by the returning Daniels. Matt Jackson was hit with the Angels Wings, and Daniels tagged himself in on AEW Dynamite.

However, Christopher was still hurt and was met with a nasty spear from Matt Jackson. The blood was dripping from The Fallen Angel so badly that it drenched the shoes of Nick Jackson.

Nick parodied the "I'm sorry, I love you" spot, but couldn't get the win. Daniels stumbled during a BME attempt before fighting through to hit it for a near fall.

With some cold spray, Matt tried to blind Daniels. Though it worked, Daniels still kicked out. However, he wouldn't kick out of a BTE Trigger.

Results: The Young Bucks defeated SCU via pinfall on AEW Dynamite.

Grade: B

With that said, not only did The Young Bucks retain the AEW Tag Titles, but SCU is now disbanded. Daniels was essentially unconscious while Kazarian struggled to face the reality that was, unfortunately, setting in.

Backstage, Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston destroyed the locker room of the Bucks after witnessing the horrific display on AEW Dynamite.
