MJF and Wardlow vs Ortiz and Sammy Guevara opened AEW Dynamite

MJF and Ortiz started the match off, or at least that's what it looked like until MJF tagged Wardlow instead. The Inner Circle members put in a fantastic performance, dominating the early stages of the match.

Sammy Guevara tagged in and cleared house, taking out both MJF and Wardlow before hitting dives out to both men on either side of the ring. Ortiz and Sammy Guevara continued to dominate the match until Wardlow hit a double powerbomb with Ortiz and Sammy Guevara perched on the corner with MJF In a suplex position.

Guevara got taken out by Matt Hardy who was at ringside. After Guevara took Wardlow out with a dive at ringside, a masked man in the crowd tossed a chair at Sammy Guevara's face.

MJF capitalized on this and isolated Ortiz in the middle of the ring. He locked in the Salt of the Earth, forcing Ortiz to tap out.

Miro vs Trent on AEW Dynamite

Miro wrestled in his first singles match in AEW next, against Trent of Best Friends. Miro and Kip Sabian have been feuding with Best Friends since Trent inadvertently destroyed their arcade machine.

Miro took the mic before the match began and started to diss Trent's mother. Trent didn't stand for this and hit a running boot to Miro as he was still talking. Miro did not look happy and hit Trent with a back suplex.

Chuck Taylor went after Kip Sabian at ringside as the match was still on, chasing him out of the arena, while Orange Cassidy kept Penelope Ford from getting involved. Meanwhile, Miro continued to dominate Trent in the ring. After hitting a big suplex, Miro literally threw Trent out of the ring.

Back from the break, AEW fans saw The Dark Order attack Orange Cassidy at ringside briefly. Miro and Trent traded strikes in the ring before Trent floored the former WWE Superstar with a clothesline.

Miro went to finish the AEW match with a big kick but Trent dodged it and rolled him up for a nearfall. Trent then clotheslined Miro out of the ring and caught him with a dive. Back in the ring, Trent connected with a running knee strike for another nearfall.

Trent headed back to the top rope but made a mistake and ended up slipping. Miro caught him with a kick on the way down before forcing Trent to tap out.

Taz sends a message to AEW President Tony Khan

Taz was out next and had a message for the President of AEW, Tony Khan. He was upset that Brian Cage and Ricky Starks were not on the card for AEW Full Gear despite Cage being high in the rankings and despite both their impressive win-loss records in AEW.

Taz went on to say that there would be a Team Taz presence at AEW Full Gear.

Private Party vs The Young Bucks

Matt Hardy came out along with Private Party. Hardy was attacked by Sammy Guevara on the entrance ramp and taken out.

The Young Bucks were out next. The match clearly showed that Matt Jackson was still feeling his ankle and a stereo dive from the Bucks didn't help. Matt Jackson continued to favor his ankle just days ahead of their title match at Full Gear.

Private Party took control of the match, forcing both Bucks to roll out of the ring before hitting stereo tope suicidas. Isiah Kassidy went for a Swanton Bomb but Matt Jackson pushed him off the apron. He landed hard on the entrance ramp.

The Bucks isolated Marc Quen and continued to wear him down. They went for the Meltzer Driver but Quen reversed it and took both Matt and Nick Jackson down as AEW cut to commercial.

Back from the break, Private Party didn't stay down and fought back. Matt Jackson was down on the apron holding his ankle as Private Party hit his brother with the Gin and Juice. Matt still managed to break up the count.

The Bucks went for Meltzer Driver but Marc Quen rolled Matt Jackson up. The roll-up got reversed. The finish saw The Young Bucks hit the BTE Trigger to pick up the win.

Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston face-off on AEW Dynamite

Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley faced off in the ring next on AEW. Eddie Kingston promised to bring the world title home to his mother but Jon Moxley was having none of it. He said that Eddie Kingston was probably nervous ahead of the biggest match in his career. Moxley added that Kingston was scared that he would lose the biggest match of his career at Full Gear and prove to himself that he was not good enough.

PAC's message

We got a video message from PAC next. PAC said he was tired of isolation and having no one to play with. He added that he was stronger, faster, and more obsessed during his time out.

Nyla Rose vs Red Velvet

Nyla Rose dominated Red Velvet from the moment the bell rang on AEW Dynamite. Red Velvet tried to hit back with a few kicks but they barely did any damage. She went for a hurricanrana but Nyla Rose caught her in midair and slammed her into the match with a nasty powerbomb. Instead of pinning Red Velvet immediately, Rose sent a message to Hikaru Shida, using Shida's patented running knee strike to finish off Red Velvet.

Cody and Gunn Club vs Dark Order on AEW Dynamite

Cody teamed up with Gunn Club to take on John Silver, 10, and Colt Cabana in the main event. This was Gunn Club's first appearance on AEW Dynamite. Austin Gunn and his father, 10-time WWE Tag Team Champion Billy Gunn have been supremely impressive on AEW Dark.

Cody started the match off against John Silver but both men tagged out soon, tagging in Austin Gunn and 10. We saw a very brisk pace for most of the match with an impressive performance from Austin Gunn.

After things broke down in the match, fans saw both teams going after each other. Austin Gunn impressed in the fallout as he hit the Quickdraw to pick up a massive win for his team.

The rest of the Dark Order came out after the match. John Silver took a steel chair and tried to attack Cody and Gunn Club from behind. However, John Silver's opponent at AEW Full Gear, Orange Cassidy, came out and took the chair from SIlver before hitting him with the Orange Punch.

Cody took the mic after the match and cut a promo on his opponent at Full Gear, Darby Allin.
