#6 Adam Page vs PAC - Future AEW World Champions?

PAC suffered his first singles loss in AEW in his clash with Adam Page at Full Gear 2019, losing by pinfall before defeating Page by submission in their Dynamite rematch to end their feud.

PAC would feud with Kenny Omega, then Orange Cassidy, defeating Cassidy by pinfall at Revolution 2020 and forming Death Triangle with the Lucha Brothers by attacking Cassidy and the Best Friends (Trent and Chuck Taylor).

At Revolution 2021, PAC teamed up with his Death Triangle team-mate Rey Fenix to win a Casino Battle Royale Match for a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championship held by the Young Bucks.

They were unsuccessful in their challenge, and PAC went back to singles pursuits as he faced Orange Cassidy for a shot at AEW World Champion Kenny Omega. After a double count-out draw, the title shot was offered to both PAC and Cassidy in a three way at Double or Nothing 2021, where Omega retained.

PAC's next battle after that was alongside Penta El Zero of Death Triangle once again for the Young Bucks' tag titles, but they failed once again. PAC has been embroiled in a feud with Andrade El Idolo, stemming from their clash on an episode of Rampage, where PAC suffered a loss through interference from Chavo Guerrero.

PAC has since seen his feud with Andrade cross streams with the feud between Malakai Black and Cody, and as such AEW Full Gear 2021 will see PAC and Cody vs Malakai Black and Andrade.

Following his win over PAC at Full Gear 2019, Adam Page would lose the rematch via submission to end the feud. After the feud, Page would compete in the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal to decide the challengers for the Dynamite Diamond Ring; MJF and Page were determined as the challengers and contested a week later for the title, with MJF the victor.

Page would find success in his tag team with Kenny Omega when they challenged AEW World Tag Team Champions Scorpio Sky and Frankie Kazarian of SCU, winning the titles on a Dynamite taping on Chris Jericho's Rock 'N' Wrestling Rager at Sea.

They would defend the belts once again against SCU, and against the Young Bucks, Lucha Brothers, the Nightmare Family, the Dark Order, Private Party, Best Friends and Jurassic Express.

Hangman would have a starring moment in the Stadium Stampede Match with the Elite against the Inner Circle as he rode a horse into battle; Page's tag partner Kenny Omega won the match for the Elite by pinning Guevara.

The win was little reprieve from the tensions seen to be rising between the members of the Elite faction and after Page cost them their shot at the AEW tag titles, the Young Bucks ejected him from the faction.

Page and Omega would lose their AEW tag titles to FTR at All Out 2020, and Omega would abandon his partner to pursue singles glory. Adam Page and Kenny Omega were positioned on opposite brackets of the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament and as a result faced each other in the final at AEW Full Gear 2020. Kenny Omega defeated his former partner to challenge for the belt while Page had lost his way.

Adam Page found friends in the Dark Order but rejected their official offer to be a part of the group, feeling like he was destined for a repeat of the Elite dissolution. He then feuded with Matt Hardy when he tried to take advantage of Page's low-point for financial gain; the feud culminated with a match between the two at AEW Revolution 2021 where Page defeated Hardy for all of the latter's first-quarter earnings.

Page would further defeat Brian Cage at Double or Nothing 2021 before teaming up with the Dark Order to take on the Super Elite in a 10 Man Elimination Tag match.

Page was last eliminated in defeat and after a beatdown would take paternity leave, returning as the Joker entrant and eventual winner of the Casino Ladder Match to determine a challenger for AEW World Champion Kenny Omega at Full Gear. Adam Page will now face his former tag partner, Elite cohort and friend for the AEW World Championship at Full Gear 2021.

#5 Shawn Spears vs Joey Janela - Chairman of AEW vs The Bad Boy

youtube-cover

Shawn Spears defeated Joey Janela in their clash at Full Gear, in a feud stemming from Tully Blanchard taking a dislike to the latter on an episode of Being The Elite. Shawn Spears has maintained a positive win/loss ratio in the two years since his victory over Janela, but hasn't seen much success in the way of gold.

He aligned with FTR and Tully Blanchard by helping the former Revival defeat Jurassic Express before being revealed by MJF as a member of the Pinnacle, alongside MJF, Wardlow, FTR and Blanchard.

He has since featured in the faction's Blood and Guts win against the Inner Circle and was pinned by Sammy Guevara in a Stadium Stampede rematch loss at AEW Double or Nothing 2021. Spears lost to Chris Jericho during the "5 Labours of Jericho" where Spears was allowed to use a steel chair, adhering to his moniker of the "Chairman".

He teams regularly with and was recently announced by MJF as Wardlow's "accountabili-buddy," giving the impression we are going to see Spears and Wardlow as a more permanent team.

While Spears is not a featured name on the AEW Full Gear 2021 card, it's likely we will see some involvement in the match between MJF and Darby Allin.

Following his Full Gear loss, Janela found the best of his success in AEW alongside Sonny Kiss in tag team action during 2020. He would capture the comedic DDT Iron Man Heavy Metal Title held by inflatable doll, Yoshihiko, at GCW Homecoming Part 1 in July 2020.

His reign wouldn't last long as he dropped the belt to ACH in August 2020 at GCW Keep in Touch. He would wrestle Brian Myers to a no contest at WrestlePro before teaming with him to take the WrestlePro Tag Team Championship off of The Amazing Graysons.

Janela challenged Darby Allin for the AEW TNT Championship earlier this year on Dynamite, and Ricky Shane Page for the GCW Heavyweight Championship at Take Kare, and has recently faced legend Minoru Suzuki at GCW The Aftermatch, with all three high-profile clashes ending in defeat.
