#3 Kenny Omega finally steps into the main event picture at Full Gear

Kenny Omega was looked at by many as the biggest free agent signing for All Elite Wrestling when the promotion had come into existence. Although he created an almost legendary legacy during his time in NJPW, Omega took a backseat during the first year of AEW. His tag team run with Hangman Page delivered some of the best matches in the company's history and elevated his partner as well. At Full Gear 2020, these two met in the AEW World Title Eliminator Finals to open the show.

After a year of buildup, the Full Gear opener gave us a tremendous, all-action sprint that told an impactful story of the two men knowing each other very well. The hard-hitting and high octane offense led to a thrilling finish with Omega being victorious. With this win, Kenny Omega became the No.1 Contender for the AEW World Championship and will finally get his first title shot.

Omega's return to the Cleaner persona has revitalized his main event status. He has showcased outstanding in-ring work throughout 2020. Now Omega finally gets his rightful spot in the World Title scene of AEW after this win at Full Gear.
