AEW Full Gear 2020 Preview - New champions to be crowned, bitter feuds to end

The third of our five title matches at AEW Full Gear will be for the AEW TNT Championship, with Cody defending the title against Darby Allin. This encounter will mark the fourth time these two men have met one-on-one in AEW. Darby made his debut in the company by facing Cody at AEW Fyter Fest 2019, going to a 20-minute time limit draw.

Following two more losses to Cody in 2020, Darby Allin earned this opportunity by defeating Ricky Starks in a cracking opener on the September 30th episode of Dynamite.

The interactions between Cody and Allin have been limited ahead of Full Gear, but this has all the making to be another star-making performance for the young daredevil.

The question going in is whether fans will finally see the big victory that has been built for Darby Allin. After major losses to Cody, Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley, now seems like the time to pull the trigger on Darby. This should be a fabulous contest between two of the top babyfaces in the promotion at AEW Full Gear.
