AEW commentator Jim Ross has heaped praise on Jon Moxley, claiming that he is the "closest thing" to WWE legend Stone Cold Steve Austin in this era.

Speaking on the latest edition of Grilling JR, AEW's Jim Ross initially praised IMPACT Wrestling star Karl Anderson, stating that he had never seen his full potential until he faced Jon Moxley last week.

JR further added that he views Jon Moxley as close to the level of legendary Steve Austin due to Mox's similar charisma, aggression, and body language, to name a few, which reminds him of Steve Austin:
“I thought Karl Anderson had the best match I’ve ever seen him have on television against Jon Moxley. He had a great match. Moxley is the closest thing I’ve seen in pro wrestling like Stone Cold [Steve Austin] since Stone Cold. Attitudinal, body english, facial expression, and legitimate intensity. Absolutely phenomenal," Jim Ross said.
