#3 Former IMPACT World Champion wants to face AEW's Kenny Omega in a dream match

IMPACT Wrestling star Eddie Edwards has expressed his desire to have a dream encounter with current AEW World Champion Kenny Omega.
Speaking to Sports Illustrated, IMPACT Wrestling's Eddie Edwards discussed numerous topics, most notably his desire to wrestle AEW's Kenny Omega. Eddie Edwards stated that despite both of them having similar career paths, they never got an opportunity to face each other:
Look who just shut down all of Tony Khan's critics! More HERE.
We’ve been on some of the same shows together, but we’ve never wrestled each other in a singles match,” Edwards said. “In a lot of ways, we took a similar path. We tried to do our thing in the indies, we both went to Japan. I got a chance to thrive in Pro Wrestling NOAH, which is what he did in DDT, and then later in New Japan. He went on to win the IWGP title. I won the GHC title. To me, it’s hard to deny that we have career similarities.”
Eddie Edwards further stated that the reason why he wants to face AEW's Kenny Omega is because he's currently the best in the business:
I want to be in the ring against the best, and, right now, Kenny is one of the best,” Edwards said. “He’s also our champ, and I’d love to be the guy to bring that title back to Impact. The stars haven’t aligned yet, but hopefully that match will happen.”
Edwards made it clear that he wants to be the one to bring back the IMPACT World Championship home. There's no doubt that the match between AEW's Kenny Omega vs. Eddie Edwards has money written all over it.
If Sami Callihan fails to put down The Cleaner at the Slammiversary event, fans may soon get to see this epic clash moving forward.
