Jon Moxley is set to face Kenny Omega in an exploding barbed-wire deathmatch

This week's episode of AEW Dynamite did not disappoint. The show progressed things well on the road to next month's AEW revolution PPV. We had former world champion, Jon Moxley, in action tonight as well as Fenix and Lance Archer. Chris Jericho and MJF made a strong statement during this week's show.

Let's take a look at some of the best and worst parts of this week's edition of AEW Dynamite.

#3 Best - Jon Moxley was at the top of his game on AEW Dynamite

AEW Dynamite kicked off with former world champion Jon Moxley taking on Ryan Nemeth, the brother of WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler. Moxley dominated the match, for the most part, showing us why he's one of the top guys in the promotion. Mox dominated most of the match and put away Nemeth with relative ease.

Following the match, Moxley cut a scintillating promo calling out Kenny Omega, the man who took the AEW World Championship from him. Mox told Omega that he was ready to face him in an Exploding Barbed Wire deathmatch. Moxley added that he was an addict and he did not know if this was a trap set for him by Omega and co. and that he did not care if Revolution was the end for him.

#2 Worst - Underutilizing Santana and Ortiz on AEW Dynamite

Santana and Ortiz are one of the best tag teams in not just AEW but in the world and the way they have sometimes been booked in the promotion makes them look like an afterthought. Tonight's episode of Dynamite was one such occasion. Santana and Ortiz had a brief cameo when they ran out following Jake Hager's match against Brandon Cutler. They got a few stomps in but then got Superkicked and taken out by The Young Bucks.

It just feels that Santana and Ortiz should be a tag team that's going after the gold instead of playing a bit part role they do at times.

#2 Best - Lance Archer and Fenix put on a great AEW Dynamite main event

The main event of AEW Dynamite saw Fenix and Lance Archer compete for a spot in the Face of the Revolution ladder match. Although Archer and Fenix have a massive size difference between them, the latter did not back down. Both men threw everything they had at each other.

We saw some incredible moves in the match including Fenix hitting Archer with a Spanish Fly from the top rope. Fenix once again showed us why he's one of the top wrestlers in AEW, despite coming up short in the end. Archer ended up being the one progressing to the Face of the Revolution ladder match.

#1 Worst - AEW could be using Miro better

Miro has been aligned with Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford since his AEW debut and although the storyline has been entertaining at times, I personally feel that Miro could have been better utilized.

The wedding angle was definitely fun but I still feel that Miro, who has looked like a beast when he has wrestled, would have been better without being a part of this storyline.

Miro and Sabian look set to face Orange Cassidy and Chuckie T at AEW Revolution, after challenging the duo on Dynamite.

#1 Best/Worst: AEW sign 'Big Show' Paul Wight

The news broke yesterday that the Big Show has signed with AEW. I haven't classified this as either a best or a worst because we have to wait and see how AEW is planning to use him.

Big Show could definitely be a great addition if used sparingly as a wrestler. However, this could also go wrong, if the WWE Legend is pushed heavily as an in-ring talent, but I don't really see this happening.

#1 Best - Jericho and MJF attack The Young Bucks' dad

As we mentioned earlier, members of The Inner Circle came down to the ring after Jake Hager's match against Brandon Cutler. This led to The Young Bucks coming out and dishing out superkicks and clearing the ring.

However, Chris Jericho and MJF sent a message to The Young Bucks from the backstage area, saying that they had run into someone they knew backstage. This turned out to be Papa Buck, who had been beaten up and bloodied. Jericho then told The Bucks to come to collect the trash before mocking their trademark pose.

This was a great way to build a feud between Jericho and MJF and the AEW World Tag Team Champions.
