AEW Summer Blockbuster has been one of the huge talking points over the past week, as a major match will be a part of the show. Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay will be facing each other in a grudge contest. This will be the second time they will enter the ring across from each other. Their first match took place at the 2024 Forbidden Door and is considered one of the best matches in their careers.

Last year, the AEW World Championship was on the line, and the Realest star managed to emerge victorious. This time, there is no prize on the line, and still, the bout feels equally crucial as the first one. At Double or Nothing, Hangman Page finally started his road to redemption by winning the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. He will face Jon Moxley at All In for the world title.

Following the pay-per-view, the Millennial Cowboy's opponent in the finals, Will Opsreay, decided to help Page by taking down the Death Riders. When Ospreay asked his friend Swerve Strickland for help, the latter turned down the proposal as Page and Strickland haven't looked eye-to-eye in the past few years.

This led to the Aerial Assassin lashing out at Swerve at Fyter Fest. He challenged the Most Dangerous Man in AEW for a match at Summer Blockbuster. Let's take a look at the twists that can happen in such a crucial match.

#3. Newest AEW star could assist Will Ospreay

Alex Windsor, Will Ospreay's partner, is one of the most talented women on the independent circuit and hasn't been signed to a major company all these years. After proving her worth to the industry, she recently announced that she is All Elite.

Alex Windsor might be the surprise element in the Swerve Strickland vs. Will Ospreay match. She could help her partner win the bout. The duo could even work together in the future in a mixed tag team match. It would also be a good way to introduce Alex as an impactful All Elite star.

#2. Hangman Page could cost Swerve Strickland his match

Hangman and Swerve have been one of the best rivalries in AEW. Fans have thoroughly enjoyed this feud till now. Despite facing each other multiple times, their rivalry hasn't cooled off a bit. The Realest star recently claimed that he will not let the Cowboy win the AEW World Championship at All In.

To protect his interest, Hangman Page could decimate the Realest star at Summer Blockbuster and give the upper hand to Will Ospreay. It will be interesting to see how Dynamics will change during tomorrow's contest.

#1. Swerve Strickland joins the Death Riders?

The Death Riders and The Elite have been troubling Swerve Strickland over the past months. At Dynasty, when the Realest star was moments away from becoming a two-time world champion, the Young Bucks cost him the bout. Later, at Anarchy in the Arena, Swerve and company defeated the heel alliance.

Now that the scores are settled, the Realest Star could align with Death Riders as the faction wants to become powerful again. During the climax of his match against Ospreay, Swerve could turn heel and reveal his new partnership. One of the primary reasons he might agree to join Moxley could be that he wouldn't want Page to win the world title and thereby contribute to the Cowboy's loss on the big stage.

It will be interesting to see what goes down when Swerve and Will square off in the ring for the second time.
