A three-time WWE champion is reported to be in town just in time for AEW's new pay-per-view, Dynasty. His presence could no doubt add a great twist to the show.

The star in question is none other than former WWE NXT and NXT North American Champion, Adam Cole. The Panama City Playboy has been away from the in-ring action ever since he suffered an ankle injury last September while helping MJF beat Samoa Joe.

Since then, there have been a lot of changes to his character, as he went on to betray his friendship with MJF at Worlds End and continued to appear in non-wrestling roles as part of his The Undisputed Kingdom faction. However, the former WWE star has been absent from AEW's weekly programming as of late due to his injury.

Fightful Select is now reporting that Adam Cole is in St. Louis, Missouri as Dynasty is taking place at the Chaifetz Arena tonight. The last time he was seen was in a backstage segment on AEW Dynamite in March 2024, where he expressed his disappointment at Wardlow for not being able to beat Samoa Joe for the World Title.

If Cole does indeed show up at Dynasty, it could be massive as he could get involved in a lot of potential matches. The main one being Samoa Joe taking on Swerve Strickland. With a rivalry that spans for a long time with Joe, it will be interesting to see the kind of direction it takes if he shows up.
