34-year-old AEW star set his sights upon TNT Championship; sends a message to Adam Cole

A former AEW World Tag Team Champion made his intentions clear by targeting Adam Cole and the TNT Championship. The star has been a singles competitor for quite some time.

The 34-year-old AEW star, Anthony Bowens, has his sights set on the TNT Championship. After gaining success in 'The Acclaimed' tag team alongside Max Caster, Bowens transitioned to a singles star earlier this year. This past Wednesday on Collision: Summer Blockbuster, Bowens squared off against Kyle Fletcher.

Although he failed to defeat Fletcher this week, Anthony Bowens still hasn't given up on the idea of becoming the TNT Champion. Taking to X (fka Twitter), Bowens mentioned Adam Cole, declaring that he still wants his AEW TNT Championship despite losing this past week. Bowens also shared a picture of the title, stating the following:

"And I still want this, @AdamColePro."

Cole won the TNT Championship by defeating Daniel Garcia at Dynasty 2025 and overcame multiple title defenses as well. Aside from Anthony Bowens, Kyle Fletcher also has his sights set on the title.

A popular star also wants the AEW TNT Championship from Adam Cole

Popular AEW star Powerhouse Hobbs also said last month that he wants the TNT Championship, which Adam Cole currently holds. In an exclusive interview with Bill Apter of Sportskeeda Wrestling, Hobbs said, "Cole is not a stranger from wrestling big guys."

"I want the TNT Championship, which is held by Adam Cole. So I want that Championship... He has some advantages. I mean, you know, he is a vet. He has been in the game a little bit longer right. I mean, obviously, I got the power down. He may have the speed down, maybe. So you know, Cole is not a stranger from wrestling big guys. He knows what he is doing there."

Powerhouse Hobbs currently holds the AEW World Trios Championship alongside Samoa Joe and Katsuyori Shibata. Only time will tell if Hobbs will be the one to take the TNT Championship from Cole, with multiple challengers vying for the title.
