A former AEW star recently took to social media to share his thoughts on who should dethrone John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Joey Janela is known for being one of AEW’s pioneers and for elevating their hardcore wrestling scene. He took to X/Twitter to say that he believes that R-Truth should be the one who defeats The Last Real Champion and save WWE, even if the 53-year-old ends up being a transitional champion.

Janela added that there had never been an opportunity to create another moment big enough to rival the 1998 Mankind World Championship win in the history of WWE, which, to him, remains one of the top three pro wrestling moments of all time.

“R truth should be the one to take the belt off Cena, even if he’s just a transitional champion. There’s never been a better chance to rival the 1998 Mankind Championship win than this, which in my opinion is an all time top 3 Pro Wrestling Moment. Idc if you need 32 run ins and Vince Russo to come back from the crypt, get it done!” Janela wrote.

John Cena vs. Logan Paul feud can break the internet, says wrestling veteran

John Cena and Logan Paul teamed up against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso in the main event of Money in the Bank, which also featured the return of R-Truth as Ron Killings.

Veteran wrestling journalist Bill Apter, while speaking with Sportskeeda Wrestling, said that the Tag Team Match showcased several moments of miscommunication between the two men, and he predicted that the two wouldn't get along. He believes that this was a deliberate setup for an eventual bout between John Cena and Logan Paul at some point down the line in the future, which could break the internet.

He might not be completely off the mark, as WWE seems to be silently teasing this since the last episode of SmackDown, and nobody can deny that John Cena vs. Logan Paul is a draw and a big-money match that can certainly break the internet.

At the same time, a lot of pro wrestling fans would also be upset if doing another program with Logan Paul takes off more dates from Cena’s Farewell Tour. Expectant fans have been speculating about possible rivalries for John Cena against names like CM Punk, Roman Reigns, or maybe even a newcomer such as Bron Breakker. Only time will tell what the creative plans for The Franchise Player are and whether a singles clash against Paul is part of it.
