AEW is coming off a highly acclaimed—albeit controversial—All Out pay-per-view, and a new season seems set to begin on this week's Dynamite. Amid all the chaos following the brutality at All Out, Powerhouse Hobbs has teased a return in order to teach Stokely Hathaway a lesson.

Stokely Hathaway is Kris Statlander's manager, but he recently began a foray into in-ring competition with a couple of mixed-tag team matches alongside his client. Two weeks ago on Saturday Night Collision, Hathaway managed to hit a Spinebuster on Revolution Pro's Kid Lykos II, and he seems to have let it go to his head:

"Anyone who doesn’t think I have the best spinebuster in AEW is b**chmade!" Hathaway wrote on X/Twitter.

Will Hobbs has carved out a place in All Elite Wrestling as a brute with a devastating Spinebuster. He's laid waste to several talents with the maneuver, but Stokely Hathaway's claim seems to have riled him up. AEW Dynamite and Rampage will be held at the Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY, this week, and Hobbs took to X/Twitter to let Stokely know that he'd see him there:

"Here lies @StokelyHathaway See you in Lexington," Hobbs wrote.

Tony Khan is looking forward to Will Hobbs returning to action in AEW

Powerhouse Hobbs has been out of action since the April 24 episode of AEW Dynamite, when he challenged Jon Moxley for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Recent reports indicated that he's been backstage at Dynamite, but there's been no word on when or where he might return to television.

Hobbs is a former TNT Champion and a formidable presence on the roster, so many fans have been looking forward to his comeback. Tony Khan confirmed that he's a fan of the 33-year-old during last week's All Out media call and provided an update on 33-year-old star's status:

"Will Hobbs has been visiting the doctors. He was injured wrestling against Jon Moxley in April. It’s been several months of Hobbs being out. We’re hoping to get him back soon, but I think there is still some time he needs for the recovery. Powerhouse Hobbs is a huge part of AEW and has been a great champion."

All Elite Wrestling is heading into a new season with a revitalized roster and several fresh storylines following All Out. Whether Powerhouse Hobbs can get the green light and join in the action soon remains to be seen.
