The latest episode of AEW Collision saw a TNT Championship defense and a highly anticipated tag team match, but the show's ratings weren't anything to write home about. Despite a massive increase over last week's preempted episode, the show is still registering low numbers.
The previous week's AEW Collision aired on Friday night to make way for All Out on Saturday. Going up against WWE SmackDown and the NFL, it was the lowest-watched Collision in history. After returning to its normal day and time slot on September 14, the Saturday show pulled in an average of 268,000 viewers. According to Wrestlenomics, that's a 71% increase over the previous edition, but it falls well short compared to the month prior.
Collision scored a 0.08 in the key 18-49 demo, placing it 7th for the night among original cable shows. While this is also a low number, competition was heavy this past Saturday night, with multiple college football games airing.

What happened on the latest episode of AEW Collision?
The most recent episode of AEW Collision carried some of the fallout from the All Out pay-per-view. Notably, Wheeler Yuta snapped over the mention of Bryan Danielson during his match against Anthony Henry.
The show featured another win for Jack Perry, who defended his TNT Championship against Christopher Daniels. The latter is a temporary EVP, elevated to the position in place of the injured Kenny Omega, whom Jack Perry continues to mock on TV.
Elsewhere, fans were treated to an in-ring spectacle as Mark Briscoe, Kyle O'Reilly, and Hologram defeated The Beast Mortos, Tony Nese, and Ari Daivari in a trios tag team match.
The main event saw the Grizzled Young Veterans take on FTR in a highly anticipated match. This was a hard-hitting bout between two technically gifted teams, but Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler ultimately came out on top.
Interestingly, Grizzled Young Veterans attacked FTR after the match, but The Outrunners made the save. Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd have quickly become fan favorites, and their appearance on AEW Collision sparked excitement for a potential storyline push.
