A former AEW TNT Champion seems to be teasing a major swerve on The Devil just weeks after officially revealing himself as one of the newest formed faction members.

The AEW star in question is Wardlow. At the Worlds End 2023 pay-per-view, Adam Cole revealed himself to be The Devil, and his masked assailants also revealed their identity. One of the assailants who took out MJF turned out to be Wardlow.

Mr. Mayhem also has tons of history with Maxwell Jacob Friedman. Meanwhile, the former is now one of the members of the newly formed faction, "Undisputed Kingdom," led by Adam Cole, which also includes Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, and Roderick Strong. Cole also planted some seeds for a potential face turn during their first promo on Dynamite.

Cole claimed that Wardlow would hand over the AEW world title to him after winning it, and the big man was seemingly not pleased with the statement.

Mr. Mayhem possibly clapped back on The Devil and his own group with his new message as he took to the "X" social media platform.

"A level above the devil… Time to play the game 🐺 #betterthanwho," wrote Wardlow.

WWE Hall of Famer sees potential in the AEW star being a member of the new faction

The WWE Hall of Famer and legendary announcer Jim Ross feels Wardlow in the new "Undisputed Kingdom" faction is impressive, and he will be a breakout singles star.

On his Grilling JR podcast, he said:

"You know when that reveal was done, because of his hair I guess I didn't recognize Wardlow, and Wardlow in that group was impressive. So you got to wonder okay of all without getting too premature, you got to wonder who's going separate paths from the pack and spin out as a singles star. Wardlow would get my money but we'll see how it works out but it's a good opportunity to establish another faction and I'm optimistic."

Only time will tell what surprises await fans after the formation of the new faction and how Wardlow emerges as a star in the group.

Do you agree with Jim Ross that Mr. Mayhem would be a breakout singles star in the faction? Sound off!
