A rising AEW star's injured father was attacked on the latest episode of Dynamite. The individual in question is Taz, whose son HOOK is the reigning FTW Champion.

The WWE and ECW veteran tried to mediate a conversation between HOOK and Chris Jericho this week. Tensions between the two men have escalated since their dissension cost Lion HOOK and their partner, Katusuyori Shibata, a win against Shane Taylor Promotions last week. The Lionheart met with The Cold-hearted Handsome Devil to settle their differences with the help of Taz.

During the segment, Jericho tried to convince HOOK that their defeat on Dynamite the week prior was due to the 24-year-old star not listening to him. He advised the budding star to learn from him, offering HOOK his mentorship and assuring him that he would help lead the latter to stardom.

However, the New York native refused Jericho's proposal, claiming he did not need help. The disagreement drove Taz to try to intercede between the two, leading to The Demo God shoving The Human Suplex Machine.

AEW Commentary immediately noted that Taz had been struggling with a knee problem for some time, suggesting that the attack from Jericho may have further affected it.

HOOK did not take kindly to his father being assaulted, as he promised to take on The Ocho at some point in the future and forced him to leave the ring.
