Hall of Famer Booker T recently spoke about AEW star Will Ospreay's alleged jab at WWE CCO Triple H.

A couple of weeks ago on AEW Dynamite, Will Ospreay seemingly took major shots at Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. The Game apparently addressed Will Ospreay choosing to sign with AEW instead of WWE on a special edition of The Pat McAfee Show.

The Aerial Assassin recently spoke about his abovementioned comments at the post-Dynasty press conference, mentioning that he made a mistake and would like to move on from the issue.

On his Hall of Fame podcast, NXT commentator Booker T opened up about the situation and claimed that Will Ospreay blew his chances of ever signing with WWE.

"Personally, I always want to stay above or away from anything the company was doing, especially if they were going back and forth with the other company just because I might be working for that company one day. I have no dog in that fight, that's why I'm shocked by Will Ospreay and what he said. I don't know the conversation he had with Triple H. That's a conversation that should have been between him and Triple H. "

Booker added that Ospreay might have limited options when his contract with AEW nears its end.

"What we're looking for is guys that are going to go out there and grind. If that's what the conversation was and you're upset about him saying 'We're looking for grinders.' Okay, cool. I appreciate it, but I'm going to go over here where I don't really have to grind that hard and get that check. That seems like it would be it. For him to make that comment, it definitely put him in a position where I would not want to be Will Ospreay when my contract came up, or if things went right in AEW because his options are going to be limited. Maybe Tony Khan will pay him enough to retire." [H/T: Fightful]

Booker T believes AEW star Will Ospreay's comments will 'hurt' him in the future

During the same chat, the former World Heavyweight Champion showered praise on Will Ospreay. However, he claimed that The Aerial Assassin's remarks about Triple H would come to haunt him in the future.

Here is what Booker T said on his Hall of Fame podcast:

"The stuff with Will Ospreay, he's a young guy, we've interviewed him. He seems like a really good dude. I don't know if he's playing into the AEW antics and wanting to get a little piece of the action and feels like 'It's a buzz around my name' for a comment like that. I think that comment is going to come back to hurt him more than help him." [H/T: Fightful]

Will Ospreay put on a great match against Bryan Danielson at Dynasty 2024. It will be interesting to see if he goes after a championship following his massive win in St. Louis.
