The American Dragon addressed the crowd and spoke on two themes - presence and promises - and alluded to his experiences of being forced to retire and then being able to return to action. The former WWE Champion also revealed that he and his wife, Brie Bella, had their engagement pictures taken in Greenville, which prompted fans to chant for the former Divas Champion.
Danielson reminded fans that he had promised his daughter that he would retire from full-time action when she turned seven. He went on to reiterate that his contract with AEW is set to expire on August 1, 2024. His comments inspired the audience to chant for an emotional Bryan and voice their gratitude towards him for his contributions over the course of his career.

Bryan further spoke about not having won the AEW World Championship despite his acclaimed performances in the Tony Khan-led promotion. However, he promised to change this fact by winning the World Title in Wembley Stadium at All In 2024.
Danielson's promo on Dynamite would be interrupted by the arrival of All Elite Wrestling World Champion Swerve Strickland, who confronted his challenger weeks ahead of their imminent collision.
