WWE has had the upper hand over AEW this week, especially when it came to ratings. However, Tony may have had the last laugh, as he has snapped up yet another former talent from the Stamford-based organization.

The name in question is none other than Kota Ibushi. The Japanese star appeared to confirm his deal with AEW in an interview where he said:

"During the discussion, they asked me how we could come to a deal. I said unless it has these conditions, I don't want to sign a contract. That was the hardcore match, double ring, cage. That's the day we signed the contract. We had a verbal agreement." [H/T Twitter/HDSubss]

Naturally, fans took to Twitter to express their feelings as one of their favourites signed up with All Elite.

"Damn he got a good deal. Everything is all in his favor. Good job."

With Kota Ibushi now seemingly with AEW, Tony Khan can breathe a sigh of relief in the hopes that he has finally gotten one over WWE after a pretty rough week.

Tony Khan takes a swipe at WWE legend Shawn Michaels

AEW president Tony Khan left no stone unturned after Dynamite:Title Tuesday as he went after a lot of names from WWE.

One of them in particular was Hall of Famer and NXT General Manager, Shawn Michaels. TK was angered by a tweet from a fan that showed an graphic image of Michaels holding a cigar and the Booker of the Year award. The fan wrote “seethe,” seemingly taking a shot at the AEW honcho.

"Actually I'm pretty sure that last night blew whatever chance he had at winning that award," Khan tweeted.

NXT blew AEW Dynamite out of the water when it came to ratings as they had numerous big names show up for the event. John Cena, Cody Rhodes and The Undertaker were all at the show, in what was probably the greatest NXT show of all time.
