Claudio Castagnoli recently betrayed Bryan Danielson to side with Jon Moxley. Over a week after the shocking betrayal, he has shared a cryptic post on X.
At the 2024 AEW All Out PPV, The American Dragon battled the reigning TNT Champion Jack Perry in a singles match. He managed to defeat Jungle Boy but was later attacked by his former Blackpool Combat Club stablemates, Moxley and Castagnoli.
The fans saw the Swiss star uppercut Bryan before Mox choked him out with a plastic bag. Due to the ambush, the AEW World Champion is not yet cleared to be back inside the ring.
In the past few days, Claudio Castagnoli has shared multiple tweets in which he confessed why he turned his back on Bryan Danielson. He claimed that he did it for The Purveyor of Violence, hence pledging his allegiance to the self-proclaimed King of the Land.

Vince Russo comments on Jon Moxley choking out Bryan Danielson
Vince Russo didn't quite like AEW playing the angle of Jon Moxley choking out Bryan Danielson at the 2024 All Out event. He believed it didn't suit Mox's character to go to such extreme lengths unlike when The Undertaker hanged Big Boss Man at WrestleMania 15, which made sense because of the latter's persona.
He added that if AEW were to play this angle they should've also portrayed Jon Moxley getting arrested as it would've made more sense and logic in the context of the storyline. He said that he and his fellow ex-write ED Ferrara would've surely booked the former Intercontinental Champion getting arrested if they were in charge of the creative.
