AEW All Out is one of the major Pay-per-views produced and managed by the American Wrestling promotion- All Elite Wrestling a.k.a. AEW. The AEW All Out event was established in 2019 and the first edition took place on August 31, 2019. It is actually a sequel to All In. All In was an independent wrestling event held on September 1, 2018. The event became the foundation for the formation of AEW
AEW All Out 2020 is an upcoming professional wrestling pay-per-view under the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) banner. It is scheduled to take place on September 5, 2020 at Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida. It is the second edition of the All Out event after AEW All Out 2019. AEW All Out 2020 will succeed AEW's last Pay-per-view event Double or Nothing which took place on May 23, 2020.
AEW All Out features matches between different wrestlers signed up at the promotion. The matches culminate as a result of pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines. Just like any other Pay-per-view event at AEW, wrestlers portray either as heroes or villains, or less distinguishable characters. Matches preceding the pay-per-view event, form the basis of the featuring matches. AEW All Out results then in turn pave the way for matches to come.
Like all major pay-per-views, AEW All Out will feature matches which have been set as a result of some preceding storylines. Events which took place around the corner have culminated in the match card of AEW All Out 2020. The current Storyline has been described below:
Storyline: MJF started a campaign against current Champion Jon Moxley to become the next AEW World Champion claiming that it was time for a new guard as the old guard has been failing as a leader to lead by example. Yet to be defeated, MJF claimed that he would be leading AEW for the next 25 years. He challenged Moxley for the AEW World Championship at All Out. Moxley defeated Darby Allin in the title match held on the August 5 episode of Dynamite, despite being attacked by MJF with the championship belt during the match. MJF would be facing Jon Moxley for the AEW Championship title at AEW All Out.
Storyline: Chris Jericho defeated Orange Cassidy on Night 2 of AEW Fyter Fest. Demanding a rematch, Cassidy started repeatedly attacking Jericho. One such attack involved staining Jericho's white jacket with orange juice. Jericho finally agreed for a rematch which was scheduled for August 12. The match was won by Orange Cassidy. Now the score between the two was tied at 1-1. Jericho proposed to have one more match and challenged Cassidy to a Mimosa Mayhem match at All Out. The match would end in pinfall, submission, or by when one of the wrestlers throws their opponent into a vat of Mimosa.
Storyline: The NWA World Women's Champion, Thunder Rosa made her debut appearance in All Elite Wrestling. She challenged Hikaru Shida to a match for the AEW Women's World Championship at All Out. She even claimed that her motive for doing so was because she wanted to bring the AEW women's division some respect. On the August 27 episode of Dynamite, it was confirmed that Shida would be facing Rosa at AEW All Out. The winner of the match will become the new AEW Women's Champion.
Storyline: Four teams took part in a Tag Team Gauntlet Match. The match was conducted to determine the challengers to the AEW World Tag Team Champions, "Hangman" Adam Page and Kenny Omega for the Championship title at AEW All Out. Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood of the tag team FTR, won the Gauntlet match by eliminating Chuck Taylor and Trent of Best Friends at the last, and earned their right to a title match at All Out. Apart from the FTR and Best Friends, The Natural Nightmares- Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall and Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson of The Young Bucks were the other two teams participating in the Gauntlet match.
Storyline: A 21-man Casino Battle Royale was announced on the August 27 episode of AEW Dynamite.
