Kingston is currently recovering from a nasty injury he suffered last year. Since then, he has not been seen inside a ring and is in rehab trying to get back to doing what he does best. He has been very quiet when it comes to wrestling matters, but he has now spoken about how AEW president Tony Khan can use 33-year-old star Ortiz.

Ortiz has been absent since last year as well, and Eddie Kingston has urged Tony Khan to give him airtime. He was speaking on Cezar Bononi’s YouTube channel when he said:

“Everything is slow at first, it's running the ropes, all that stuff. three-quarter rolls. Then I'll get in there. I would like to get Ortiz and Homicide down to grapple. Ortiz, if they're going to film it, because AEW likes to film everything, I get it. I don't, that's not me and my style. At least get Ortiz back on TV [Laughs]. It's not my show. You're not always going to agree with your job. Once I get to the ring, I'm happy, I'm good.” [H/T Fightful]

Eddie Kingston provides injury update

A lot of AEW fans are eager to know when Eddie Kingston will return to action after he suffered an injury last year.

The former AEW Continental Champion recently spoke to PWInsider and said:

“I am not there. I have started running in the ring. I am still doing physical therapy and I am mentally better. Yet again, as people know, it's a struggle, but being able to be in the ring again and work out with PT and working out with Cezar [Bononi] is helping my mental health, let alone my body. I can finally feel the ball is moving in the right direction.”

It will be great to see Eddie Kingston finally return to action, and the fans will be hoping that the time is near.
