WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff wants Tony Khan to sign a recently released star to All Elite Wrestling.

The name in question is none other than Jinder Mahal. The Modern Day Maharaja was shockingly released by WWE on April 19, 2024. Mahal's departure was surprising to many as he was one of the most talked about stars in January 2024 after his brief Twitter fiasco with Tony Khan.

The AEW CEO questioned why Jinder Mahal was suddenly booked in a World Heavyweight Title match against Seth Rollins despite being absent from TV for a long time. This invited an interesting response from Mahal, but he later deleted his post.

On his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff said Tony Khan should capitalize on his social media exchange with Jinder Mahal and offer him a contract.

"If I was Tony Khan and if Jinder is available and this isn't a storyline, I'd hire him so fast. Going back to the comments that Tony made about Jinder that started the whole thing. It was awesome and it was fun to watch. Take advantage of that, Tony. You can get kind of a built-in incident to start from, a spark of an idea to do something fun. Have Jinder come in, Tony, and make you fear for your life." [26:55 - 28:04]

Jinder Mahal recently disclosed his conversation with The Rock after WWE RAW: Day 1

Multi-time champion Jinder Mahal was heavily praised for holding his own against The Rock on the Day 1 edition of Monday Night RAW on January 1, 2024. The Rock and Mahal engaged in a promo battle before the former took out the latter with the People's Elbow.

In his recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, The Modern Day Maharaja revealed that The Rock thanked him after their memorable segment.

"Yes, he actually kind of left a little bit of an Easter egg. He sent me a voice note like, 'Thank you, I appreciate working with you, and I'll be seeing a lot more of you around now that I'm doing things all across the board with WWE.' And it didn't click in. A few days later, it did. I was like, 'Oh, that's what he meant by doing things all across the board,''' Mahal said.

The Rock is currently filming a movie, but he has heavily teased returning to WWE in the near future. It will be interesting to see if he challenges Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship after his comeback.
