RAW star Drew McIntyre has sent a heartfelt message to his former 3MB stablemate Jinder Mahal, who was recently let go by WWE.

The Modern Day Maharaja's departure from the Stamford-based promotion was confirmed while SmackDown was still on-air, leaving many viewers stunned. This was followed by reports of quite a few more performers also being shown the door.

The unfortunate list included Mahal's former on-screen allies, Sanga and Veer Mahaan, plus Xia Li and Xyon Quinn. The former WWE Champion, Sanga, and Mahaan's departures and subquest social media posts also hint at their dissatisfaction over how Indian-origin performers were booked in the company.

Several names reacted to the sudden releases, including Drew McIntyre. The Scottish Warrior took to Twitter to share a photo of himself with Jinder Mahal and wrote a thoughtful message for his former stablemate.

"We showed them once. Now show them again, brother," wrote McIntyre.

For those unaware, Mahal, McIntyre, and Heath Slater were part of the comedy group 3MB back in the day. Despite a lack of opportunities, the trio made the best of the situation, and the group is fondly remembered by fans today.

What lies ahead for Jinder Mahal after his WWE release?

It's safe to say The Modern Day Maharaja was a polarising name during his tenure in the Stamford-based promotion. His sudden ascension to the top as the WWE Champion in 2017 was met with skepticism from many viewers. However, Jinder Mahal proved his critics wrong, as he had a respectable run as the Champion.

Even his segment with The Rock on the Day 1 edition of RAW earlier this year earned him praise from the fans. Though he went on to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship the subsequent week, his push soon fizzled out.

Now that he's no longer with the company, it remains to be seen what lies ahead for Jinder Mahal. He's a thorough professional who could quickly make a name for himself in whichever promotion he chooses to join next.
