A former WWE star competed in her first AEW match in 579 days and came out on the winning side. This will be a huge boost for her and give her much needed confidence moving forward.

Tay Melo, who was signed with WWE from 2016 to 2020, last wrestled in AEW on January 11, 2023, at a Rampage taping where she teamed up with Anna Jay to take on Ruby Soho and Willow Nightingale. Sadly for her, she lost that match and was away on maternity leave for the last two years.

She made her return recently and at AEW Summer Blockbuster 2025, she teamed up with Anna Jay once again to take on Penelope Ford and Megan Bayne. The match had it all as all four stars were up for it from the get go.

Despite Megan Bayne giving her team the obvious edge thanks to her size, Anna Jay and Tay Melo were able to get over the line and pick up the win. The victory came after Tay hit Penelope Ford with a knee strike.

Tay Melo will hope that this win will give her the much needed boost to her wrestling career after she was out for nearly two years. The star will want to get back in the thick of things in the Jacksonville-based promotion at the earliest.
