A popular former WWE Superstar was seen in action on this week's edition of AEW Rampage.

The name being discussed is Rob Van Dam (RVD). He made his return to the Tony Khan-led promotion for the first time in two months on April 20, 2024. He was part of a four-way elimination match against Isiah Kassidy, Komander, and Lee Johnson.

The Hall of Famer was last seen in the promotion before tonight on an episode of Dynamite in February 2024, as he teamed up with "Hangman" Adam Page and Hook to take on Brian Cage, Samoa Joe, and Swerve Strickland.

RVD competed in five other matches in AEW before this week's Rampage, but could not secure a win in singles competition. The former WWE Champion's victories came from teaming up with Hook.

As he faced opponents who were much more agile and younger than himself on Rampage, Van Dam initially decided to take a step back and enjoy the action. But when he was brought into the fray, he did not shy away from bringing it to the competition.

Isiah Kassidy was able to sneak a roll-up pin on Lee Johnson, but eventually, he was eliminated by Komander. This led to a one-on-one showdown between the luchador and RVD.

Komander had an advantage over the Hall of Famer in terms of athleticism and agility. However, the latter was able to outmaneuver him and go for a Five-Star Frog Splash for the win, scoring his first singles victory in AEW.
