A former WWE star recently teased a potential surprise appearance alongside his brother and tag team partner during a major title match at the upcoming AEW Dynasty Pay-Per-View.

The former WWE star would be none other than Matt Hardy. Matt last appeared on AEW TV in January 2024, where he teamed up with his brother, Jeff Hardy, and Mark Briscoe to defeat Kip Sabian, and The Butcher & The Blade in a trios match on an episode of Rampage. Meanwhile, Matt has reportedly departed from Tony Khan's promotion after his contract was up.

Nonetheless, the 49-year-old veteran has seemingly teased a potential appearance at the upcoming AEW Dynasty Pay-Per-View through his official X/Twitter handle.

Matt mentioned the Ladder Match between The Young Bucks and the FTR for the vacant AEW World Tag Team Championship on the card. Hardy also teased being part of the match alongside his brother, Jeff Hardy. Interestingly, Matt mentioned that regardless of his contract status, he and Jeff had to remind both teams that they made the Ladder Match famous.

"Everyone knows I'm a huge advocate for the @youngbucks & I think FTR have been an unprecedented run over the last year - So I am greatly intrigued by this #AEWDynasty Ladder Match. This match will be a show-stealer.. But maybe Brother Nero & I need to remind both teams, contract or no contract, who made the Ladder Match famous."

Whether or not Matt appears at the AEW Dynasty Pay-Per-View remains to be seen.
