A fan favorite in AEW is reported to be on his way out of the company and the fans are clamoring over what his future should be like. This is something that was expected by many.

Danhausen has not been seen in All Elite Wrestling for more than a year now and no one can understand why that has been the case. He last showed up at a Ring of Honor event late last year and has since not been seen on television.

Given his current situation, Fightful Select reported that his deal was to end soon, running out by July, excepting any added time. The report also noted that while there is a chance that the deal might be extended, that seems unlikely given how he has been booked so far.

Fans were quick to react and commented on this report and said that it is only a matter of time before he goes to NXT. Another fan said that Tony Khan needs to release him and set him free.

Matt Hardy questions Danhausen’s AEW booking

Former AEW star Matt Hardy has the habit of calling a spade a spade and he did just that when he spoke about the booking of Danhausen. The former WWE star was speaking on his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast when he said:

“Danhausen's a hustler too, man. Lots of love for him. He's a great entertainer. He's a great commodity. With Danhausen, there are so many different avenues you can take to put Danhausen on your TV program and get him over and make him sell tons of merchandise and make him a compelling part of your TV program. I don't know why they decided not to do that. Once again, I don't know the ins and outs of all the details.”

Matt Hardy raises the right questions and it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Danhausen when he leaves AEW.
