AEW presented its second four-hour special event, Summer Blockbuster, from the Theater of the Clouds at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. The show kicked off with an explosive match, but the bout ended in a disappointing way.
During the June 11 edition of AEW Summer Blockbuster, Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland faced off in the opening match of the night. The rematch from the 2024 Forbidden Door was set to captivate the audience, who were excited from the opening bell.
After a handshake, the duo locked horns, and the match began to intensify. As it gradually picked up pace, Ospreay and Strickland delivered power-packed moves to each other. It was the high-flying ability and quickness of The Aerial Assassin against the ruthless strength of the former AEW World Champion.
