A former WWE star has just opened up about a potential dream match against The Elite in AEW.

During their time in NXT, Kyle O'Reilly, Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, and Roderick Strong formed a powerful faction called The Undisputed Era. For several years, the group dominated NXT and laid waste to anyone who stepped up to them.

When all members of The Undisputed Era debuted in AEW, fans were expecting a feud between them and The Elite, especially after they turned on the Young Bucks. However, that didn't happen as Cole and O'Reilly suffered severe injuries that kept them out of the ring for a long time. But wrestling fans are still hopeful of a potential dream match between both groups.

During a recent interview with Fightful, former WWE star Kyle O'Reilly opened up on the possibility of a potential dream match between The Undisputed Era and The Elite. He said things were unpredictable in pro wrestling and there's always a possibility of the match never working out. However, he said if it ever did, he would be ready.

"Certainly is a dream match for a lot of people, including us. It would be amazing to do one day. These things are out of our control. Injuries, creative decisions, booking. So many factors come into play when these things get decided. Who is to say. It may happen, it may never happen. It’s out of my control. All I can really do is prepare for, if and when it does happen, to knock it out of the park," he said. [H/T Fightful]

Kenny Omega on Cody Rhodes leaving AEW due to heat with The Elite

Cody Rhodes was instrumental in starting AEW along with The Elite. He was also a major star in the promotion. However, he was also the first one to leave the company for WWE. Since his departure, rumors have been doing the rounds that he left AEW due to issues with Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks.

During a recent Twitch stream, Kenny Omega debunked those rumors by saying that he is still in touch with The American Nightmare and that things are great between the pair.

"Of course, [I message Cody]... We talk all the time. He has my number; I have his. Any time we have something big on the horizon, we message each other. We support each other. I didn't even know how this thing started where it was like, 'Well, the reason why Cody left [AEW] must have been because he just hated Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. That's not, not even close, to a thing at all," he clarified.

Cody has also referenced The Elite many times during his run in WWE indicating that all is well between them.
