AEW World Champion Jon Moxley recently discussed a former WWE Champion's condition heading into one of his biggest matches. The name in question is Bryan Danielson.

Bryan Danielson (fka Daniel Bryan) had one of the greatest moments of his career at WrestleMania 30 in 2014. At the event, he defeated Triple H before winning a Triple Threat match against Randy Orton and Batista to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. While it was a memorable moment, there was more to it behind the scenes.

Jon Moxley (fka Dean Ambrose) recently spoke about Danielson's condition heading into WrestleMania 30. In an interview with TV Insider, Moxley revealed that The American Dragon was banged up before 'Mania, and he was with him every night leading up to the show.

"I don't think people understand how much he has gone through physically. I remember the run-up to the WrestleMania he headlined. I was with him pretty much every night, and he was banged up. He was getting through it to get there. A lot of people don't understand the actual physical toll this could take on your body. I don't think people knew how much he was suffering. You would never know it by looking at him. I was there and saw and understood what he went through." [H/T: WrestlingInc.]

Jon Moxley successfully retained his AEW World Title at Full Gear

After winning the AEW World Championship from Bryan Danielson at the WrestleDream pay-per-view, Jon Moxley defended his gold for the first time at Full Gear 2024. In the show's main event, Orange Cassidy took on The Purveyor of Violence for the title.

Cassidy vs. Moxley was a brutal match, as many expected. In the end, the former WWE star managed to retain the title with the help of Wheeler Yuta.

After Moxley's win, Christian Cage attempted to cash in his World Title contract but was stopped by Jay White. Only time will tell who will be the next challenger for the coveted championship.
