Liv Morgan is friends with several of her current and former WWE colleagues, including CJ Perry fka Lana. The two avoided a major incident earlier this year, thanks to The Judgment Day's blonde grappler. Recently, Morgan recalled how she saved the day, despite being on the road with the company.
The current Women's World Champion and Perry have been good friends for several years. Liv returned to WWE TV in late 2019 with a bit of a new gimmick. She crashed Lana's wedding to Bobby Lashley on RAW and professed her love for her fellow blonde superstar. The Ravishing Russian attacked Morgan, but the New Jersey native sided with Rusev for a Mixed Tag Team feud. CJ Perry and The All Mighty picked up a two-on-two win three weeks later, but The Judgment Day member won back-to-back singles matches over the next two weeks.
Perry and The Miracle Kid often document their friendship on social media, and they've been known to share stories in media interviews. Liv Morgan participated in a Fanatics Live signing earlier today and recalled how a cooking mishap almost left her with a burnt-down home.
"I put out a fire in my house a couple of weeks ago when I had a friend over named CJ [Perry], who wanted to make me dinner. She was trying to do something nice by heating taco shells, but she accidentally put them on broil instead of bake, causing the whole oven to catch on fire. So I flew home early from RAW and put out the fire [laughs]," Liv Morgan said. [H/T: RSN]
Lana and Liv Morgan actually locked up in three singles matches before their RAW rivalry. Morgan won their first-ever match on March 17, 2017, at a non-televised NXT live event in Florida. Lana then defeated Morgan on April 21 and April 22 of that year.
Former AEW star praises Liv Morgan
CJ Perry joined AEW in September 2023, but by July of this year, she was no longer with the company. The former Lana of WWE made just a few appearances and was tried out as a manager with Miro and Andrade.
Perry recently gave a two-word nod to her real-life friend Liv Morgan on X/Twitter. After a fan page recalled Liv saying she's the greatest Women's World Champion of all time, Perry chimed in with a brief response.
"She is !" CJ Perry wrote.
Perry joined WWE in June 2013 and begin working in NXT. After nearly a decade-long career as a manager and singles star, she was released from the company on June 2, 2021. Her final match came just days before on RAW, where she and Naomi lost to the team of Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke.
