It seems like a major AEW star recently took a shot at Cody Rhodes following Dynasty. The star in question here is Brian Cage.

Dynasty took place at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri on Sunday and featured nine matches. One of the bouts fans saw at the event was Will Ospreay and Bryan Danielson in a one-on-one match.

From the beginning of the match, the crowd went wild, and the arena was filled with loud chants. Bryan and Ospreay were both incredible throughout the match, but it was The Aerial Assassin who came out on top at the end.

Following the match, Brian Cage logged onto his official X account to acknowledge the two stars and praise the bout, while seemingly taking a dig at The American Nightmare, who was once a major part of AEW and who finished his story at WrestleMania 40.

"I don't care what story you finish. That was the match of the year. @WillOspreay vs @bryandanielson #OspreyVsDanielson #AEW #AEWDynasty," Cage tweeted.

Brian Cage could go after the AEW World Title

Brian Cage recently had an interview with Bill Apter of Sportskeeda Wrestling. During the interview, he discussed the championships he would like to go after in the Jacksonville-based promotion. He hinted he might challenge his faction friend, Swerve Strickland, for the World Championship.

"I mean, like I guess politically right, then I should be like, let me have a TNT Title shot or the International Title to kind of spread the gold around. I could go against Roddy or Adam Copeland for sure, but you know, Swerve and I have had some amazing matches. If you wanted a little friendly in-house competition, no pun intended, we could do that," he said.

The interview took place before the Dynasty PPV and Brian had teased a match against Swerve if he were to win the World Title at Dynasty. On Sunday, Swerve Strickland defeated Samoa Joe to become the new World Champion.
