Former WWE champion Bryan Danielson was in a spot of bother and had to be attended by medical personnel after the main event of AEW Dynamite.

The main event saw a great tag team match, as the team of Claudio Castagnoli and Bryan Danielson came up trumps against Orange Cassidy and Kazuchika Okada.

The match started with Danielson and Cassidy slogging it out. Incidentally, it was the first time the two men were in the same ring facing each other. After trading a few lusty blows, tags were made.

Okada and Castagnoli then took over the action, and the two men appeared to get used to the pace of the match from the get go, and locked in a few moves early.

The bit that was looked forward to the most was Danielson taking on Okada. Danielson had had his arm broken at Forbidden Door by Okada, and there was clear hesitation on the part of Danielson.

Putting behind what happened the last time the two met, they got on with the match. The former WWE Intercontinental Champion Bryan and Okada exchanged some hard blows. Okada targeted Bryan with a flurry of punches, while Danielson answered with chops of his own.

Danielson was then hit with a punch by Cassidy, followed by a rainmaker by Okada, which appeared to injure him. Castagnoli then picked up Orange, and hit him with an uppercut to win the match for his team.

After the match, the entire Blackpool Combat Club came out to attend to the former WWE star, while the Best Friends turned up to show support to Cassidy.
