Mercedes Mone has been a belt collector since she arrived in AEW last year. Recently, she added another piece of gold to her illustrious resume, but the victory came outside the Jacksonville-based promotion.
The CEO made an announced appearance at EWA's Prater Catchen event in Vienna, Austria. She competed against Lexa Valo and Mila Smidt in a triple-threat showdown at the event and walked out as the winner.
The former WWE Superstar became the new European Wrestling Association Women’s Champion following her victory. She also holds the TBS title, RevPro Undisputed British Women's title (which is a double belt), and the Owen Cup championship (temporarily), making her 'Five Belts Mone.'
Moreover, Mercedes Mone has the opportunity to add a sixth championship in a few weeks. Her victory in the Owen Hart Cup earned her an AEW Women's World Championship match against "Timeless" Toni Storm at All In Texas, which is expected to be a blockbuster encounter.
Mercedes Mone was willing to work a match against her former AEW ally
The rise of Mercedes Mone during her first year in All Elite Wrestling saw her bring Kamille in as her wall of protection. The partnership was off to a great start until friction arose between the duo. This led to The Brick House berating Mone and leaving her side.
According to a report, it was AEW President and CEO Tony Khan's decision to end their alliance as he felt that it was not working out. Moreover, Mone was even willing to work a match with her, which would have been an interesting match to witness. Yet, it did not happen.
Kamille has been absent from All Elite Wrestling for a while. She is busy filming a TV project. As for the CEO, she is set to compete in one of the biggest matches of her career at All In Texas, aiming to make history and become 'Six Belts Mone.'
