Powerhouse Hobbs hasn't been seen on AEW television since 24th April due to an injury. He has now provided a positive update on social media.

Ever since his AEW debut, Powerhouse Hobb has proven to be an impressive force in the ring. He has been doing some of his best work ever since joining the Don Callis Family. Hobbs has shared the ring with some of the best in the business such as Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley.

He even earned himself a IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match against Jon Moxley on the 24th April edition of AEW Dynamite. However, he came up short in the match. Additionally, Hobbs also sustained an injury in the match and was ruled out for the foreseeable future.

Today, Hobbs took to social media to provide a positive health update about his recovery:

"First week of PT done with the USC legend @RNA_sports had some ups and downs but still battled through and crushed my goals #BigBlacknJacked #Monstar #TheBluePrint"

Powerhouse Hobbs asked Lex Luger's permission to use his finisher

Powerhouse Hobbs may be a bad dude in the ring due to the way he destroys his opponents. But that doesn't seem to be the case outside the ring. He even once asked a wrestling legend's permission to use his finisher.

Speaking on his Lex Expressed podcast, Luger explained how Hobbs had called him up to ask his permission to use the torture rack.

"There's a guy in AEW, Powerhouse Hobbs. He's using the [Torture] Rack a little bit. He's got a good look; I like him! So, he very respectfully called me up and asked me—he got my number from Sting—if he could use my finisher. 'Well boy, you don't have to ask me to use my finish!' But I go, 'Absolutely!' I'm like, 'Man, rack 'em up'. So he's used a little bit. So I don't consider it my move; it's like a great finisher! It always got a rating in the 2K games, [and] still does. When you get a guy up there, it's match-over. It's a great finish!" Lex said.

It will be interesting to see whether this positive update from Hobbs will speed up his recovery time.
