Fans believe AEW's newest signee might leave the promotion, similar to Mariah May. The Glamour had a great run in the Jacksonville-based promotion over the past couple of years.

Mariah quickly became the top star in the company and even held the Women's World Championship for a significant number of days. However, she made a surprise debut in WWE on June 3 after her profile was removed from the AEW roster page.

Recently, popular star and Will Ospreay's partner, Alex Windsor, was featured on a Pro Wrestling Eve show. She has been one of the most talented wrestlers on the independent circuit. The 31-year-old has over 16 years of experience in the ring.

After her performance, Windsor took the microphone, bid farewell to the independent scene for now, and announced that she is All Elite. Alex received a huge ovation from the fans following the surprising announcement.

While many fans were happy to see Alex Windsor receive a new deal, others believed she might use AEW as a stepping stone to go to WWE, similar to what Mariah May did.

Bill Apter was surprised to see Mariah May in NXT

The former AEW Women's World Champion's profile was removed from the official AEW roster page on May 30, 2025. Days after her departure, she made her debut on NXT.

While speaking on UnSkripted, Bill Apter expressed his belief that Mariah May could make her debut at Evolution 2 and have a run on the main roster afterward.

"Did you think they were gonna start her off in NXT? I did not. I thought they were gonna debut her maybe at Evolution, and then bring her on to one of the main rosters. So, I am surprised that they brought her into NXT. But maybe a good move to get some more people to watch it," he said.

It remains to be seen how WWE books Mariah May in the future.
