Fans are upset as a WWE Superstar has re-signed with the Stamford-based promotion, and did not join AEW. The star would be none other than Finn Balor.

The former Universal Champion has been one of the top stars in the Stamford-based company and has held multiple championships during his run. He has been competing mostly on the RAW brand for the majority of his career. Recently, Balor has been an integral member of The Judgment Day. However, he lost the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania XL, along with Damian Priest.

In January, reports of the 42-year-old star's contract were disclosed and it was set to expire following WrestleMania XL. However, recent reports suggested that The Prince had signed a multi-year deal with WWE, which he confirmed via a tweet.

"I would like to take this moment to say thank you to WWE for 10 incredible years. And after much thought and consideration , I have decided that now is the right time to say ‘I ain’t going nowhere!’"

With the reports of his contract expiry, many fans expected Finn to sign with AEW. However, his re-signing with the Stamford-based promotion has left many fans sore as he may not join the Tony Khan-led promotion now.

Wrestling veteran predicted Finn Balor would re-sign with WWE,

While speaking on his Gigantic Pop podcast, wrestling veteran Matt Morgan stated that Finn Balor would ink a new deal with WWE in the future.

"[Do you think Finn re-signs with WWE?] Yes, without question. He's in a main event storyline. This is the best booking he's had. And one could argue, 'Well, he was The Demon. He was the champion.' Yeah, he's fallen off since then but this is the best chance to put him in the best group for himself where he's not, the onus isn't all on him," Matt Morgan said.

It will be interesting to see if Finn receives a singles push in the Stamford-based company, given he has been in the tag team action more often last year.
