AEW star Evil Uno recently revealed why he was absent from the Jacksonville-based promotion for a long time.

The Dark Order member has been one of the few AEW stars who has been associated with the company since its inception. His last appearance in the Tony Khan-led promotion came on an episode of Rampage, where Evil Uno teamed up with John Silver in a losing effort against the Best Friends. Since then, Uno has made appearances in independent promotions and Ring of Honor tapings.

Recently, on an episode of Being The Elite, the 36-year-old star revealed why he was absent from the Jacksonville-based promotion for more than a month.

"It’s nice to see you. It’s been a while. You may not know this, but we haven’t been all in the same place in about six weeks. I’ve been stuck in Canada with reapplying with my visa. If you do not know, they’re from Long Island, I’m still living in Canada now. I’m now back," Evil Uno said. [H/T Fightful]

What the future has in store for the Canadian star remains to be seen.

AEW star Evil Uno commented on a recent segment with Adam Copeland

While speaking with Joel Pearl of Fightful Select, AEW star Evil Uno said that it was one of the largest moments in his life after Adam Copeland, formerly known as Edge, joined him following his match at the Ring of Honor tapings.

"It was pretty unreal. In one way, it would have been one of the largest moments in my life if I had just ended my match, addressed the crowd, my hometown (...) Adam Copeland was a cherry on top. It was indicated that Adam Copeland would be doing something with me shortly before. It’s weird because it didn’t set in. When they told me, I didn’t really get the weight of it until it happened. At one point, it all happened. I shook hands with him, and that was the point of realization that was like, ‘I’m in the ring with someone I spent most of my life looking up to, who is a Canadian wrestling legend, and we’re sharing the ring,'" Evil Uno said.

It remains to be seen when will Evil Uno return to the squared circle in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
