The Young Bucks have a message for E!

Former WWE Champion Big E has been receiving an outpouring of love and support from his well-wishers since he suffered a neck injury on this week's episode of SmackDown.

Several AEW stars have taken to Twitter to wish E a speedy recovery. Matt and Nick Jackson, also known as The Young Bucks, are the latest to do so.

As usual, the duo updated their Twitter bio; this time, they tagged WWE SmackDown Superstar and put a folded hand emoticon alongside it.

On Friday night, The New Day (Big E and Kofi Kingston) faced Sheamus and Ridge Holland in a tag team match. In the closing moments, Holland planted E with an ill-timed belly-to-belly suplex outside the ring, which caused the 36-year-old to land awkwardly on his head.

While the former WWE Champion was legitimately hurt at ringside, Butch distracted Kofi Kingston to allow Sheamus to sneak victory. E was soon taken away on a stretcher, much to everyone's dismay. Later on, the former WWE Champion confirmed that he had broken his neck during the incident. Fortunately, he won't be required to undergo surgery.

In light of this upsetting news, reports suggested that Drew McIntyre and Ridge Holland even visited the former champion in the hospital. As of this writing, the New Day member is all but confirmed to miss WrestleMania 38 this year.

WWE Superstar Big E's in-ring career might be over

Big E missing The Showcase of the Immortals this year isn't the only unfortunate news that has surfaced over the weekend. As per the latest reports, Big E's neck injury is seemingly severe, and it might be career-ending.

Medical consultant Dr. David Chao recently shed light on the SmackDown Superstar's health situation and hinted that E's pro wrestling career could be over:

"The C1 fracture is most dangerous as the top cervical vertebrae is a ring and is commonly associated with immediate death or complete paralysis. Thankfully the fracture was not displaced and he will not need surgery. However, this type of fracture often heals incompletely and it may mean the end of his wrestling career."

Bryan Danielson and Edge's stunning comeback to the squared circle from a neck injury is a testament to the possibility that Big E might lace up his boots again in the future. But as of now, wrestling enthusiasts will be hoping for the star's speedy recovery and general well-being.

We here at Sportskeeda Wrestling wish the same for the SmackDown Superstar!
